The patented Zephyr Integrated Drive System™ is a purpose built system specifically designed for cooling towers to improve process reliability and to avoid the losses in production and revenue currently experienced by mission critical industries such as oil and gas, petro-chemical and power generation who utilize the complex gearbox fan drive. Working with a major oil and gas company’s Reliability, Maintenance and Engineering groups, Prime Datum first performed a Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA) of the gearbox fan drive and then developed the Life Cycle Cost (LCC) of that system. Based on this information the Zephyr was developed, built and tested utilizing engineering discipline and protocols overseen by our refining partner.

Reliability

The Zephyr Integrated Drive System is over-designed for reliability, survivability and simplicity. The Zephyr eliminates multiple failure modes and replaces the complex mechanical gearbox fan drive with one moving part.
